Akanksha Charitable Trust (ACT), established in 2014 and based in Puttur, Dakshina Kannada, is dedicated to creating equal opportunities for children and youth from disadvantaged backgrounds who lack access to quality education and dignified livelihood pathways. Rooted in the belief that education is the foundation for long-term social transformation, ACT works to bridge educational and skill gaps prevalent among rural communities in Karnataka.
ACT began its journey as a collective of like-minded individuals inspired by the belief that “knowledge never decreases by being shared.” Guided by this philosophy, the Trust has consistently focused on empowering students and young people through inclusive, community-driven initiatives.
To deliver equitable access to quality education, skill-building, and innovative learning opportunities for children of all backgrounds, and to build pathways for opportunity and social mobility by fostering youth engagement, volunteering, and strategic partnerships with government, corporates, and civil society.
